I am proud of my professional title, however before I am a therapist, I am a wife and mother. Those titles are my deepest accomplishments and gifts in life, and I firmly believe serving in these roles have made me a better therapist.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Mental Health Practitioner in the state of Nebraska with six years of experience in the field of mental health. I have worked with adolescents, families, and adults in a variety of mental health settings. I am currently a School Social Worker and am lucky to say I love what I do, however I am thrilled to be doing private practice therapy in addition to that role. Over the years of working primarily with families, and also growing a family of my own, I have come to learn how critical one’s mental health is when it comes to healthy relationships.

I interpret behavior as a way to communicate unmet needs and I enjoy helping clients identify the barriers to meeting those needs. I consider how one's upbringing and past experiences impact current situations and offer a safe space to problem solve these challenges. Seeking out help is one of the bravest steps. I offer a safe space and meet my clients where they are at, while also offering guidance and a gentle nudge as our therapeutic relationship grows.

What can you expect?

Free Phone Consultation

I offer a complimentary 20 minute phone consultation to help you decide if I’m a good fit as your therapist. During this consultation, you will have the chance to explain why you are seeking out therapy & what you hope to gain out of the experience. If it feels like the right fit, we will schedule our first session and start onto the next step of initial paperwork.

Initial Paperwork & Intake

Before we meet for our first session, you will receive an email with initial paperwork for you to fill out. Once this paperwork is completed, we can meet! During our first session, I will ask questions to gain a better idea of who you are and the experiences you’ve lived. We will also collaboratively identify goals and action steps to guide your therapy process.

Therapeutic Journey

The therapeutic process is an individualized journey. Each person’s goals and desired outcomes are different. During this part of therapy, the true “meat and potatoes” as I like to say, is where the work lies. This is the part where you will take steps and make progress toward your goals.

I am located near 40th and Normal in the Sikhona Therapy office. Enjoy a cozy inviting atmosphere as you enter, and grab a warm drink at the stocked coffee bar!
